Posts: 86 06/18/09 1:00 AM	Tags : None The Ho Chunk casino is in Baraboo Wisconsin. It is an indian casino near the Wisconsin Dells. The Wisconsin Dells is noted for its many family oriented water parks, and Wisconsin river attractions. Go karts, miniature golf, and water shows are the draws from families all over the mid-west. The Hotels are VERY family friendly. Nearby is The Ho Chunk casino. An indian tribal casino that offers all the casino games. Video Poker: No full play machines. Slots: Lots of reel spinners. Quarter and up. Video slots: They have many of them banked by type. For example: If you want to play 'Village People' slots you have to go to the no smoking section to find a bank of 10 machines next to each other. The bank of Jackpot Party machines are in the smoking section near the entrance. Other slot types are grouped together as well. Lots of reel spinners next to each other as are videos. Lots of different machines. Huge assortment. Table games from $5. If you are in the Wisconsin Dells ....stop in. It's nice..and worth a visit. You get free soda by helping yourself to the free dispensing machines along the walls of the casino. Me: I liked it, overall, payoffs were low, BUT!!! I did hit a few nice pays, so, I would say, if you are near Baraboo Wisconsin, pay a visit and hope for the best, BUT, don't drive out of your way expecting to win.

Posts: 2243 06/18/09 5:39 PM	Being I AM from Wisconsin.... Ho Chunk is NOT Asian, it is a band of a certain tribe of American Indians. WI has ALOT of Indian named cities, town, lakes, rivers, etc... In Milwaukee, you have Potowhami Casino. About 2 miles from my family's home. Alot of family trips were taken in the Dells area.

Posts: 2243 06/20/09 10:43 PM	I've played at both, and let me tell you, Ho Chunk, is much better. The odds are so bad at Pot., yet all these people continue to drop their $$ there. Also, the smoke is so bad, I just about gagged as soon as I opened the door.

Kiddo, I did not know you werefrom Wisconsin or Milwaukee area. Small world as I live in Sun Prairie now. My wife "L" works for Dejope casino as a vault cashier which is owned and operated by the Ho Chunk Indian nation. We go to the Ho Chunk casino occaisionally (just went Sunday 8/2) and they have slots, VP, table games, Bingo, and Off Track betting as well as a poker room. As was mentioned, the VP paytables are not very good and you have to pay for your alcoholic beverages but what casino other than Las Vegas don't you. I would also recommend this casino if someone was in and around the Dells area. It is about 60 miles north of Madison, WI. Also, Baraboo, WI is home to Circus World museum where the Barnum & Bailey Circus use to be housed and started. There are a lot of interesting things in this area other than milk and cheese.

Posts: 86 08/04/09 12:11 AM	Expanding on DMJEWEL Baraboo coment. Circus World is a must see if you are in the area, and if you enjoy the circus. Live Circus acts, and lots of circus wagons. The circus wagons are very impressive. Not a life changing event, But if you like the circus This is a place to see. 100% recommend .
