Ok ladies... So I have always had major problems with getting nail polish to stay on my nails... It always just peels right off in huge pieces... I don't even get far enough into the manicure for it to start chipping. So I tried the gel manicure and fell in love. No peeling, no chipping, and my nails grew so fast and were so strong. But it starts to get expensive. So I went and bought the gelish mini kit to try and do it at home. I followed all of the steps and directions and after taking a shower the corners started lifting and the polish just peeled off! It was a big thick piece but it still peeled right off. Then I realized even though many have said it was ok to use regular polish as long as you had the gel foundation and te gel base coat, maybe that was my problem. So I re-did my nails and just used the base coat and top coat because I wanted a clear natural nail look. Same thing a couple nails started to peel and the polish peeled off in one big chunk... What am I doing wrong? Maybe you really need to have that extra coat of the color gel polish in order to have all of the layers bond together? I don't know... I am getting frustrated because it is the same stuff the salon used... HELP!
