Years ago we got Stictly Slots magazine. Does anyone else get it or Casino Player? Or any other gaming magazine? Was
wondering about the quality. With s/h & Canadian $ exchange these magazines get pricey.

I used to have a subscription to Card Player magazine, that I won in a draw prize at a poker tournament.

I get Casino Player magazine. It is a nice glossy publication. It tends to repeat itself. For example, there can only be so many articles on how to play craps.
The Blackjack articles can only say to split aces so many times before it becomes repetitive. But if you haven't received it before, a one year
subscription would cover about all you would need to know about gambling. Slot reviews, video poker advise, and casino news make it interesting. Poker articles
and articles about places other than Las Vegas would make it worth a shot. I'd say give it a one year subscription try and then judge for yourself.

Last year I had a subscription to both strictly slots and casino player. I found that the articles were very repetitive and the information was somewhat old. They would report on a new opening that happened several months earlier, etc. I now only have the strictly slots and it's usually very late in arriving and not a whole lot of info. I do enjoy their review of new slots. I think it's about $20 a year and comes every other month. I think it's gone downhill somewhat since the exec editor died last summer. |
