My take would be that it's probably one of those upscale joints that folks "OOhhh and AAhhh" about the "wonderful presentation".

I'm sure the quality is good but I could give a rat's a$$ if the plate has 20 pretty sauce dots surrounding the plate along with a green sprig leaning against a solitary strawberry and then only a thimbleful of actual food.

That's why I asked if someone was picking up the tab. It's a place I would go to...

You're right, Jack. I'd much prefer the Bel buffet-those yummy key lime tarts are my favorite- but yes, someone else is picking up the tab and I'm very grateful. It's not so much the food as the accoutrements and I'm sure I won' t starve. Was just wondering about people's comments who have eaten there.

When you say "invited" I assume someone else is picking up the tab?

I'm not into French dining either and have never eaten at Le Cirque, but I just looked at the entree menu. Among the listings are:

Chilean Sea Bass
Dover Sole
Beef Tenderloin
Roasted Chicken
Lobster

What's not to like with that selection? If none of that looks appetizing I think you're right.....head to the Bellagio buffet. Still one of the top buffets in...

We have been invited to dine (as opposed to merely eat) at Le Cirque. I don't like French food and, after looking at the menu, I'm at a loss as to what I will order. I don't eat fois gras, rabbit, veal, truffles, snails (or puppy dog tails). I'm pretty much a buffet kind of gal. Just wondering what your opinions are about this place.
