Just dropped Doris off at the airport for her Vegas trip and Molly is already sad.

Doris called her Dad this morning who lives in a nursing home in Ohio. She mentioned that she read (Jack's Post) that Ohio had legalized gambling.

Her Dad went off on how awful it was and why would any idiot want to gamble and lose their money.

Needless to say she did not tell her Dad she was headed to Vegas this afternoon.

When to Walk Away

Do you have a winning or losing point where you take your 'result' (winning or losing) and walk away from the machine or table? I don't. Perhaps that is why I'm not ahead. Any hints? There is no right answer. I do know my husband plays by some weird system that seems to work for him - perhaps it just inserted horseshoes.

During the Halloween weekend at Caesars, on table 401, this is the table that faces the front door, an old gentleman bought in for $1000. He places $200 on the outside number. He was not the shooter. The shooter then proceeded to shot. The shooter throws a 10. The old gentleman presses his 10 to $600. A few rolls later, another 10. This time it is pressed to $1500. The shooter continues and keeps on throwing a lot of 10's.

we often talk here of best moments, aside from losing your budget on day one, what have you been looking forward to for ages that proved to be a right letdown? i have to say for me it was love, i know it has many fans here, but as a beatles and cirque fan, i was left thinking that it was nowhere near as impressive as 'o' but that's just me..............

When packing for Vegas (or any vacation really) what is the most important thing on your packing list (other than gambling money). We were talking about this earlier and I've realized for me its shoes. No not a pair to match every outfit, no not sky high hooker heels. Heading out to New Orleans, and then a cruise. Yeah, there's a storm brewing, but it's all good, we're on vacation!

AND, R got an offer from Grazi in the post yesterday. 4 comp nights +$100 slot play. They let us use it for our time between HET at Christmas/NYE. So if NOLA/Cruise isn't all that, we'll have the upcoming Vegas to talk about as we hunker down while the storm blows.....

Upgraded to business class for tomorrow!

A recent offer was for a few nights comped and $75 in steaks. How the heck do they expect a Canadian to fly home with steaks? It was such a stupid offer that it went straight to the grinder so I can't even name the offending property.

I had lunch with a friend who was in LV last week for the U2 show. He told me getting there was a joke, and he knew getting back would be worse!

The ride from the Bellagio to Sam Boyd stadium was $60, with all the traffic. That was what is was. After the show though, he said the lines for cabs were THOUSANDS deep, with people pushing and shoving everywhere! He asked one of the security guys there what other options there were, and the guy told him they could hoof it a few blocks and...

Yes, I may be returning to our favorite city via another company paid trip next month! I say maybe because the original class was last month but got cancelled due to lack of participants. (Lousy Canadians probably dropped out, dont get me started on them again...) Cool thing is, I jokingly told my boss 2 months ago that me & my Vegas Virgin protegee would be much better at our jobs if we had more training and he simply replied: "Sure, find something in the next 60 days."...

I just got home last night. ( trip report coming) I love reading the LVRJ and was not happy with the long standing boycott by HET. I was happy to see it made a come back! I enjoy reading it in the early morning while my wife is still catching up on her beauty sleep.
